Late Night After Work Club
A short story, almost:
Below are the Minutes of our restaurant workers’ Late Night After Work Club, written on napkins at Zacherl’s Pub.
Partial Minutes from last week’s Late Night After Work Club:
It is decided that we need to steal a statue and hold it for ransom because that’s funny.
Partial Minutes from last night’s Late Night After Work Club:
Fat can be motivating.
Dolly Parton is a goddess.
Ray Bradbury is brilliant and frightening.
Ginger brandy can cure the common cold. [Somebody ought to bottle that.]
Next week: We may look for a place to rumble.
Late Night After Work Club
Partial Minutes from last night’s Late Night After Work Club:
Zacherl’s drink chips are color-coded for different drinks; they’re not just pretty colors.
Lent has no jurisdiction on chocolate; thus, Caramellos and Cadbury Crème Eggs are now on the highest order.
We now have in inventory two knives and some chalk for chalk outlines in our Rumble Kit, should we need to rumble.
Mexico is awesome, and not just the stuff you can see from the cruise ship.
We may have unofficially hired a new salad guy. Not sure if we should seek management approval or just let him show up…
Partial Minutes from this weekend’s Late Night After Work Club:
A ball python is a good starter snake.
We should definitely wear melon colored shirts when we rumble. (There is some discrepancy as to what melon is, so this has been tabled for the time being.)
Crockagators are dangerous, and live everywhere.
It’s possible to laugh so hard that you discover you have abs.
We should always have a person “on the outside” ready to bail us out.
“I don’t want you planning a heist. You’re no good at it. Now, here’s what you do…”
Partial Minutes from this weekend’s Late Night After Work Club:
We suspended the heist we were planning, at least for now.
On Cyndi’s recommendation, we’re instead going to read A Confederacy of Dunces.
We need discussion on whether our rumble club has now become a book club.
